Where is the justice?

A child left motherless, a mother left childless. Hearts broken, spirits burnt, dreams shattered. This is a tragic story about a Cypriot mother who had the unfortunate luck to meet and marry and have a child with an abusive American man. She managed to escape and return to her homeland, her parents, her family and save her little boy. The father hadn’t looked for his son for 3 years...

Now he has demanded his son is retuned for him and the court has ruled in his favor. Why? What sort of justice is there when a 5 year old child is torn away from its mother, it’s grandparents, it’s family, friends, a world it knows and loves to be sent to an abusive father whom he doesn’t know to a country he can’t remember? Its so disappointing and so backward when decisions like this are made. Parents and non-parents have come together to demonstrate and support this young mother and her son and are trying to overturn the courts decision.
